Betty was a faithful servant of her Lord, Jesus Christ. She attended the Open Bible Baptist Church in Cambridge, NY. She was a former doll maker at R. John Right Dolls of Bennington, VT. She spent most days spending precious time with her beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren. Betty loved talking with people whenever she would take walks around town or hang out at Stewart’s with the children. She also loved visiting family in Rochester, NY. Everyone that knew Betty knew her as Betty or Nanie, the kind and generous woman that cared for all. Betty loved lighthouses and her favorite movies were The Sound of Music and Dirty Dancing.
Betty is predeceased by her parents, George Ornt and Marie Lindsay-Ornt as well as her siblings; Barbara Enos (Ornt), Peggy McGlynn (Ornt), Marie Schermerhorn (Ornt), all of Rochester, NY.

Betty will be missed by all. Anne Lamott once said, “Lighthouses don’t go running all over an island looking for boats to save; they just stand there shining.” That was Betty; she was a light in the World that nothing could dim. She led us all with her wisdom and grace. She will be the light guiding us through the dark, watching over us with her husband.
